FAQ - Immortalize the bridal bouquet & preserve

After you've completed your booking, you'll receive an order confirmation from me via email. Once I've confirmed your appointment, I'll send you step-by-step instructions for shipping your flowers. They should arrive 1-2 days after the wedding (express delivery). If you'd prefer, you can also hand them over to me in person in Bülach.

As soon as I receive your flowers, I immediately begin the professional preservation of your bridal bouquet or flowers. I carefully remove the blossoms and dry them for at least 3–4 weeks. I then present you with a design to choose from before beginning the final preservation of your bridal bouquet. This is followed by pouring them in various layers, adding any inscriptions, sealing, and polishing.

Air bubbles can form in epoxy resin, for example, during the mixing process. Of course, I take care to avoid them and remove them whenever possible. However, it's possible that small bubbles may appear in your finished, unique piece. The resin ferments and changes throughout the drying process, so despite all the care, air bubbles can form—especially in flowers with many layers, as air tends to hide between the petals.

These tiny bubbles don't make your unique piece any less special—they add character, depth, and a little magic. If you choose a handmade piece of art made of epoxy resin, please keep in mind that air bubbles are a natural part of the creation process and are not grounds for return. Imperfectly perfect—that's exactly what makes handcrafting so unique!

Depending on the workload and size of your order, you should generally expect a processing time of 20 to 24 weeks. During particularly busy periods, especially between May and September, it may take a little longer. I will keep you updated throughout the entire process. If you need your artwork by a specific date, please let me know when placing your order so I can check if that's possible.

A longer completion time is not a defect and does not constitute grounds for complaint. Each of my works is a unique, handmade piece created with great attention to detail—and sometimes quality simply takes a little more time.

Yes, absolutely! If you have flowers that are already dried, I can continue to preserve them. Please let me know when booking so we can discuss further details.

During drying and preserving, the colors of your flowers may change slightly. This is a completely natural process and a normal part of the drying process. Light flowers, such as pale pink, tend to fade slightly or become slightly transparent in places. More vibrant colors such as bright pink, purple, orange, yellow, and green generally hold up well. Dark pinks may take on a purple hue, and red roses often take on a deep burgundy hue.

Please note that color changes are not grounds for complaint – they only make your unique piece even more special!

Epoxy resin can develop a subtle, warm tint over many years – this is true for all resins and is a natural characteristic of the material. The biggest factor is UV light. I use UV-protected casting resin to counteract this, and you'll keep your piece looking beautiful the longest if it 's not in direct sunlight , not exposed to strong heat, and you only clean it with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Good to know: On dark and colored pieces, any potential color variation is practically invisible, while on crystal-clear and light-colored works, it may become minimally noticeable over the years. A slight tint is normal and not a reason for complaint; rather, it is part of the character of genuine epoxy resin handicrafts.

Epoxy resin can develop a subtle, warm tone over many years. Because this tone itself tends slightly towards yellow/warm, it's practically invisible on warm and dark backgrounds – but most noticeable on cool, light ones. If a particularly long-lasting color image is important to you, this guideline will help:

Especially well suited

• Warm earth tones: Beige, sand, taupe, ochre, terracotta, brown – they are related to the warm tone, a yellow tint practically blends into it.
• Dark, rich tones: Black, anthracite, dark blue, petrol, rich green, burgundy – a light tone is simply not visible here.
• Metallic and flake effects: Gold, copper and bronze flakes as well as warm shimmer pigments – their warm glow naturally picks up any possible tone and also looks elegant.

Less suitable (most likely to show a change in tone over the years)

• Crystal clear & transparent without background color.
• pure white and very light, cool pastel shades such as light blue, rosé, mint or lilac – the warm tone creates the greatest contrast here.

Important: A slight tint is a natural characteristic of genuine epoxy resin and not a defect.

No, shipping is not included.

Your flowers: You take care of sending your flowers to me, but don't worry – I'll send you step-by-step instructions to ensure everything arrives safely.

Finished product: You will also be responsible for shipping your finished flower preserves, and I will take care of the shipping after completion.

This only applies to orders that are not picked up in person.

Shipments abroad (outside of Switzerland): Any customs duties, import taxes (e.g. VAT) and customs clearance costs are the responsibility of the recipient and may lead to a delivery delay.

I offer my custom flower preservation services exclusively to clients in Switzerland and the EU (or by prior arrangement). Unfortunately, deposits and custom orders are non-refundable. If the date of your wedding or event changes, I'll be happy to offer you a new date at no extra charge – just once. If your wedding or event is canceled, I can issue you a credit note that you can use toward any item in my online shop, including custom orders.

If you send me your flowers and then change your mind, unfortunately I cannot return the flowers.

Please also note my cancellation policy.

Your flowers must arrive no later than five days after the wedding or event. If they are not, the reservation will be canceled, and a cancellation fee of 30% of the total amount will be due (plus the 20% reservation deposit).

The materials I use all come from the EU.

All my products are handmade and “made in Switzerland”.

Please note that I am a one-person operation, so unplanned delays may occur from time to time, for example due to illness.

5. Occasional polishing: To maintain the shine of your epoxy resin bridal bouquet block, you can use a special epoxy resin polish from time to time. Apply the polish with a soft cloth and gently buff the block to restore its shine.
