Methods in comparison

How to preserve your bridal bouquet

Each method has its strengths. For a long-lasting, high-quality result, I work with epoxy resin.

Air drying

Hang upside down in a dark, dry place. Simple, but colors will fade and flowers will remain fragile.

silica gel

Dry salt gently removes moisture and retains its shape. Sensitive to light and moisture.

Press

Flat flowers for frames or cards – beautiful, but two-dimensional.

freeze-drying

It retains shape and color very well, but is complex and expensive.

dipping in wax

It retains its shape and color in the short term, but is not very durable.

Epoxy resin (my specialty)

Three-dimensional, UV-resistant, protected against dust and moisture – durable for decades.

Quick guide

Pre-dry flowers yourself

If you would like to send in dried flowers, this preparation will help:

1. Remove the bouquet from the water immediately after the celebration and pat the stems dry.
2. Loosen the band so the flowers can breathe.

3. Hang upside down in a dark, airy place.
4. Allow to dry completely – ideally for at least 4 weeks.

The flowers are embedded in epoxy resin. This protects them from UV radiation, dust, and moisture.

Both are possible. Dried flowers should be completely dry (at least 4 weeks), I prepare fresh ones myself.

How long does professional preservation take?

Approximately 20–24 weeks from receipt of fresh flowers.

Do you ship to Germany?

Yes, throughout Europe. For fresh flowers from the EU, please indicate that they are flowers.
